Your donations create positive, lasting change for people. They also often place you within one of our giving groups, help you get the most out of your partnership with us, and connect you with other United Way supporters.
Loyal and Diamond Donors
Most of our supporters first pledged during a workplace campaign. Even when they move on from their jobs, they often keep donating. If you’ve given to us for 10 – 24 years, you’re a Loyal Donor. If you’ve sustained your commitment for 25 years or longer, you’re a Diamond Donors.
Leadership Donors
Donating $3 a day adds up to make a big difference toward solving our community’s toughest challenges. These gifts can help a family stay housed. For about $20 a week, you’ll contribute to positive change and be part of this giving group.
Alexis de Tocqueville Society
People in this giving group have the means and dedication to create positive, lasting change. Their generous donations advance efforts that have significant impacts in Alaska. Together with our board members and senior leaders, they strengthen our community.
Membership Benefits
The largest percentage of our donors are part of this giving group, and it includes anyone who donates $1,000 or more in a 12-month period. Our signature event to show our appreciation for these donors’ support is our Leadership Picnic.
Membership Levels
People can commit to “step into” our Tocqueville Society over three years, and several membership categories exist to acknowledge different levels of giving. Whether someone is working to become a member or increase their gift, we’re humbled and inspired by their generosity.
An annual donation totaling $1,000 to $1,749
An annual donation totaling $1,750 to $2,499
An annual donation totaling $2,500 to $4,999
An annual donation totaling $5,000 to $9,999, which is a qualifying donation to "step into" the Tocqueville Society if maintained or increased over three years and resulting in a $10,000 or more donation annually afterwards
Membership Benefits
Tocqueville Society members have special opportunities to interact with leaders, support volunteer efforts, and attend invitation-only events. These connections ensure they know how their investments are helping Alaskans. We offer them many ways to participate in this giving group.
Membership Commitment
People can “step into” Tocqueville Society over three years. In the first year, they make a gift of at least $5,000 to join our Leadership Council, as noted above. In the second year, they increase their gift to at least $7,500 to demonstrate their continued commitment. In the third year and onward, they give $10,000 or more.

An annual donation totaling $15,000 to $19,999

An annual donation totaling $75,000 to $99,999
La Table Ronde de Millions de Dollars is the membership level of Tocqueville Society members who donate $1,000,000 or more a year.
