Common Vision
United Way’s supporters share our vision for Anchorage and Alaska. We want children to succeed from birth through high school graduation, families to meet their basic needs and remain housed, and every person to have financial security and receive the health care they need.
Valued Diversity
Every supporter, including you, represents different interests, perspectives, and sectors and has a unique background and history. This diversity contributes to better outcomes and enables us to unite caring people to give, volunteer, and take action so everyone can thrive.
Concentrated Efforts
To advance our common vision, supporters engage with United Way in various ways to determine where and how to develop solutions, provide resources, and offer services. Some people pledge annual donations, others volunteer, and some partner on efforts.
Community Gatherings
United Way regularly invites local nonprofits to attend strategy sessions and coordinate responses to pressing community challenges. By engaging a wide range of organizations and people who address different needs, we promote intentional collaborations to advance shared goals.
