Board of Directors
Just like you, our board members are community members. They can serve up to four three-year terms, and each board member is a volunteer. They’re committed to improving the lives of people throughout Alaska.
Elected Officers
Board officers set the compass for United Way's direction and focus. Their terms are one year, and they can serve two terms consecutively. To be an elected officer, they must first become a member of our board of directors, which often occurs as the result of a nomination.
General Members
All people who serve on our board of directors are independent, voting members. If they have an asterisk (*) by their name, they’re serving as an ex officio member, which means they’re sitting on our board but not currently voting.
