We unite caring people to give, volunteer, and take action to remove barriers to opportunities. That's been our mission since we first started serving Alaska. It guides how we solve our community’s toughest challenges and is why we’ve been able to improve lives for almost 70 years.
2022 - 2027 Goals
In 2022, we evaluated what motivates us and set five-year goals:
- Build partnerships for a thriving community.
- Lead a collaborative community impact agenda.
- Collect and share data to drive measurable change.
- Raise and make strategic investments to maximize our impact.
- Be an outstanding place to work and volunteer.
Recent Success
Our Community Campaigns fuel the work we undertake. When they succeed, we can extend our reach to more community members and open more doors to financial security, a healthy community, and youth opportunity. Below is a recap of our achievements during fiscal year 2024.
- Received $9.65 million in fiscal year 2025
- Raised $2.61 million from the Community Campaign
- Used $2.89 million to fund grants, sponsorships, and programs
- 1,819 employees improved their financial stability after receiving job training
- 1,416 households were permanently housed, maintained permanent housing, or moved closer to it
- 112 business and professional partners participated in the Anchorage School District Career Expo
- 53 programs for early childhood care and learning increased their quality
- 10,895 people were provided with and completed specialty referrals
- 47,206 connections to resources provided by Alaska 211 to people searching for help
- 18,475 calls answered by Alaska 211 community resource specialists
- 8,024 online database searches completed on Alaska 211’s website
