Pledges and Gifts

We invite you to help by contributing whatever means you have available. Support looks different for each of us, but we can all open doors for other people. That simple act lets them know we believe in them and the possibilities that await them.

Real Change

What happens when you give to us? More Alaskans can enter spaces where resources and services are available that help them to thrive. By joining with other community members to support opportunities, you’re improving every Alaskan’s chance to achieve their potential.

Day of Caring

Every fall, we partner with nonprofits, workplaces, and community members to host a Day of Caring. On Sept. 17, 2025, Alaskans came together to support people across Anchorage and Alaska. Our 32nd annual event included more than 40 people volunteering at four nonprofits, which resulted in about $4,500 worth of time spent. From serving meals and painting to doing yardwork or administrative tasks, Alaskans were part of many ways that showed they care. Here are some 2025 Day of Caring participants' reflections:

"We like helping out in the community through United Way. We do their annual Community Campaign every year, and so we participate in Day of Caring. This year, we landed on helping at the the American Cancer Society."

- Andrew Honea, President and General Manager, Doyon Drilling, Inc.

"United Way's Day of Caring connected us with a great group of volunteers. In less than a three-hour time period, they knocked off days of work from our workload. It's encouraging to meet people who have a huge heart for the work American Cancer Society Alaska does."

- Tabitha Karpow, Senior Development Director, American Cancer Society Alaska

"We support United Way's Community Campaign, which means we get involved in volunteering. We came to AK Child & Family to help, and our hearts were really touched. Because of Day of Caring, we received the love that is shared through helping others."

- Desire LaLonde, Community Outreach Coordinator, Northrim Bank Alaska

"Employees from Northrim Bank Alaska helped AK Child & Family on Day of Caring. Some of the children here come from situations where they've experienced trauma. For these kids to see community members who want the best for them makes them feel like they're not alone."

- Angela Rush, Director of Development, AK Child & Family
