Our 32nd annual Day of Caring came about by partnering with nonprofits, workplaces, and community members. This year, our work at four Anchorage-area nonprofits focused on:
- Painting a gym and chapel for vulnerable children to use.
- Packaging and delivering food to families facing hardships.
- Serving lunch to people experiencing homelessness.
- Preparing materials that help a local nonprofit fundraise.
Alaska's News Source covered how we connect people to opportunities that help them address their community's needs. Local volunteers donated about $4,500 worth of time on Sept. 17, 2025, which impacts them and prompts them to do more--be it taking another volunteer shift, beginning to engage in advocacy, or making a financial contribution.
