Workplace campaigns build support to create solutions.
Some organizational supporters have run United Way of Anchorage workplace campaigns for decades. They know the process of planning, running, and closing campaigns like the back of their hands. Other workplaces are new to it. Either way, we’re thrilled for your participation and will support you!
How will you engage your colleagues to help us create a stronger community?
Do you have dozens of colleagues who have pledged for years, or a couple new hires who aren’t sure what a workplace campaign is all about? As our Development Team combines forces with you, they’ll all get a chance to learn why supporting United Way matters.
Timelines & Timeframes
As needs change in Alaska, volunteer opportunities arise, and programs are proven successful, we keep you updated with the latest information, relevant handouts, and important calls-to-action. Every year that you host a workplace campaign, we highly recommend completing at least these two steps:
-
Attend ECC Training.
-
Meet with a Development Team member for help.
Usual Time Period
You decide what time of the year works best to run a workplace campaign. Many occur between September and December. Please let our Development Team know your preference. They’ll work with you to plan, run, and close your campaign.
Average Length
A workplace campaign often occurs over one to two weeks, giving your colleagues enough time to learn about United Way and pledge support. Our Development Team can offer you best practices and tips as you plan your campaign.

Payment & Pledge Options
We have several ways that people make financial contributions. You can use our donate webpage or call United Way at (907) 263-3800 to process a payment. You can also write a check and mail it to PO Box 200108, Anchorage, AK 99520. Other options are below, and we invite you to visit our contact webpage.
ePledge
Our secure online giving platform is the simplest, most cost-effective way to collect donations. We can customize ePledge for your workplace for free. It tracks employees’ donation pledges while keeping data and selections private. Both one-time and recurring gifts can be deducted from paychecks.
Paper Pledges
Some people prefer filling out hardcopy donation pledge forms or work in locations with limited or no internet access. Your Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC) can provide paper pledge forms. Once filled out, please have your ECC collect the forms and send them to United Way for processing.
