Home for Good is a program that we incubated and now oversee. It supports Alaskans in the Anchorage area who have experienced homelessness for a long time and have frequently used emergency response systems. On Dec. 16, 2025, our program was featured on Talk of Alaska, a show on Alaska Public Media.

Its participants want to take steps to move from the streets to stable housing, but they need help securing housing and remaining housed. By listening to the radio interview, you'll hear how Home for Good creates stability and serves as a housing model that proves we have solutions that work for Alaska communities.

"We know there's a need for the program," said Eric Utraq Billingsley, our President and CEO. "What I would think about--or a way to frame it is--it's not a question of 'Does this work?' because we've seen this work. We have the outcome. We have the data. We have a rich data set to show the outcomes of this program. It's 'Will we as a community be willing to invest in the next 100 individuals for the next five years?'"

By donating to United Way of Anchorage, you help us continue to operate Home for Good so that Alaskans can achieve housing stability and organizations across Alaska can use our program as a model to help address homelessness in their own communities.
