United Way of Anchorage responds to community needs with programs that strengthen stability, improve well-being, and expand opportunity. Challenges like housing insecurity, barriers to health care, educational disparities, and financial strain are connected. That’s why we bring a comprehensive approach to every challenge, working across systems and alongside partners to support people in practical, lasting ways.

Initiatives

Since our first Community Campaign, we’ve led successful initiatives.

United Way of Anchorage has incubated, tested, and delivered some of the most well-known successes in Anchorage. We have more than 75 examples to showcase, and each effort succeeded because Alaskans partnered together to help improve our community. Representing different organizations and causes from 1956 until now, people collaborate under United Way’s leadership to drive initiatives that build a community where everyone can thrive.
