Wellness

A healthy community allows Alaskans to overcome barriers and live healthier, more secure lives.

Health is essential to a person’s quality of life and the strength of a community. Many people, though, face barriers that make healthy living harder. Limited access to care, financial hardship, inequities, and broader conditions can take a toll. They influence if people get preventative care, mental health support, and services to stay well.

Students

Access to opportunity allows youth to build the skills, support, and confidence they need to succeed.

Every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, but many students face barriers that affect their ability to thrive in school and prepare for what comes next. Educational success is shaped by more than the classroom alone. It’s influenced by family support, access to resources, and community conditions.

Housing

Financial security through stable housing moves families toward safety, stability, and long-term opportunities.

Everyone deserves access to a safe, stable home. Yet too many people in Anchorage experience homelessness, housing uncertainty, and rising costs. These factors make stability difficult to maintain. Housing challenges affect every part of a person’s life, including health, employment, safety, and family well-being.

Youth Opportunity

We help kids move from their first words to their first jobs.

Alaska’s next generation of learners, workers, and leaders need our support. We are committed to ensuring children, teens, and young adults have better access to dependable, excellent learning environments. We’re paving the way for parents to have more child care options so their income can provide for their kids.  Plus, we’re helping young Alaskans cover their pressing needs and receive mentorships to prepare them for life after graduation.

Healthy Community

We make our community stronger by making it healthier.

We know healthy communities are thriving communities. That’s why we’re committed to helping Alaskans access quality, affordable care. By supporting their physical, mental, and social well-being, they can live with dignity, stability, and resilience. Whether we assist with health insurance enrollments or advocate for improved access to health screenings and education, we ensure everyone has opportunities to enjoy healthier lives.

Financial Security

We empower community members to be self-sufficient.

Financial hardship often begins with unexpected costs and limited access to support. We work to close those gaps so that more Alaskans can take steps to build lasting financial security. Our community initiatives and investments help people avoid eviction, connect to workforce development opportunities, and access public-assistance benefits. A network of resources allows Alaskans to weather setbacks and have better lives.
