Common Vision

Our partners, donors, and volunteers share our vision for our community. We want children to succeed from birth through high school graduation, households to meet their basic needs while remaining housed, and all people to receive the health care that they need.

Integrity matters above all else. Every year, a certified public accounting firm completes an in-depth review of our financials. They verify that we’ve complied with nonprofit accounting standards, and we post their reviews of our financial operations for our community to see.

Our mission inspires efforts and initiatives we undertake.

We unite caring people to give, volunteer, and take action to remove barriers to opportunities. That's been our mission since we first started serving Alaska. It guides how we solve our community’s toughest challenges and is why we’ve been able to improve lives for almost 70 years.

When Alaskans need help finding help, Alaska 211 is here.

Alaska 211 is a free statewide helpline that connects people to resources and services in their local communities. Whether they need to meet basic needs, recover from disasters, or address most anything else, 211 can help. Its comprehensive database with government, nonprofit, and faith-based resources is available online to search. Trained, compassionate community resource specialists answer 211 calls, listening without judgment and providing connections that improve lives.
