We’re working with school-based clinicians to meet students’ needs beyond academics.
Whatever gets in the way of a student’s well-being, we can work together to address it. We provide funds to Providence Alaska and VOA Alaska school-based clinicians who meet Anchorage School District K-12 students’ needs. They help cover costs so that students succeed in school.
Mental Health
When students face challenges at home, problems may show up in classrooms. School-based clinicians support students’ mental and behavioral health with one-on-one and group sessions. With United Way’s assistance, they create pathways, raise support, and develop opportunities that meet their needs.
Caring Support
Students are better able to learn when they feel supported. Trusted adults and responsive services can strengthen confidence, stability, and connection.
Accessible Funding
We provide easily accessible funding to school-based clinicians. Quick access and flexibility allow them to pay for students’ food and clothing, cover families’ utilities, or secure transportation. Our supports build trust, strengthen well-being, and help students succeed.
Timely Resources
Fast, flexible assistance helps meet urgent needs before they grow into larger barriers. Responsive support keeps students connected to school and ready to learn.
