Students' Needs

We’re working with school-based clinicians to meet students’ needs beyond academics.

Whatever gets in the way of a student’s well-being, we can work together to address it. We provide funds to Providence Alaska and VOA Alaska school-based clinicians who meet Anchorage School District K-12 students’ needs. They help cover costs so that students succeed in school.

Back on Track

We’re powering a program that helps high school students graduate.

Sometimes, life disrupts students’ attendance. Thanks to supporters, we ensure that students have what they need to get Back on Track–which is the name of the program and its goal. In partnership with Anchorage School District and Covenant House Alaska, students can graduate and thrive.

Academies of Anchorage

We’re nurturing students to become a talented workforce.

When students see how education connects to life after high school, they’re more engaged and likely to graduate ready to thrive. That’s why we’re partnering with workplaces to support Anchorage School District’s Academies of Anchorage. Students are inspired to pursue their calling.

Healthcare Navigators

We’re connecting more Alaskans to quality, affordable health insurance.

Our healthcare navigators can help Alaskans determine if they qualify for coverage on Health Insurance Marketplace or can receive coverage from Medicaid or Denali KidCare. They provide enrollment assistance, coverage options, and other information by phone, online, or in-person. Their help is free, unbiased, and confidential.

Landlord Housing Partnership

We’re connecting landlords with housing support services.

Landlord Housing Partnership assists landlords who rent to community members with past evictions, poor credit histories, or criminal records. The tenants receive case management services from health and social service nonprofits. Opportunities for both are growing.

Home for Good

We’re supporting people moving from the streets to stable housing.

Some people experience homelessness for a long time, coupled with disabling conditions. They need help to get on their feet and remain housed. Home for Good connects these people with housing and support services. Our program operates on a proven approach to breaking the cycle.

Eviction Diversion

We’re keeping people from being evicted.

By keeping tenants housed, we prevent costly, time-consuming eviction processes. Alaska 211 connects callers with our housing programs team to help prevent homelessness. Then, our community members avoid permanent and traumatic barriers to opportunity and are empowered to reach their potential.
