We’re helping kids move from their first words to their first jobs.

Alaska’s next generation of learners, workers, and leaders need our support. We are committed to ensuring children, teens, and young adults have better access to dependable, excellent learning environments. We’re paving the way for parents to have more child care options so their income can provide for their kids.  Plus, we’re helping young Alaskans cover their pressing needs and receive mentorships to prepare them for life after graduation.

Stark Disparities

Racial and ethnic groups, English-language learners, economically disadvantaged families, and children with disabilities face disparate educational outcomes. All students deserve caring support, meaningful classes, invigorating experiences and career-path insights.

Child-Centered Supports

We coordinate with health clinics, nonprofits, and workplaces that assist families who have infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. Our community’s needs evolve, ebb and flow. This webpage provides updates about our current efforts to support kids.

We’re nurturing students to become a talented workforce. When students see how education connects to life after high school, they’re more engaged and likely to graduate ready to thrive. That’s why we’re partnering with workplaces to support Academies of Anchorage. They inspire students to pursue their professional callings.

Life-Ready Students

We link students with workplace-led opportunities so they’re prepared for life after graduation. When we support students, they can reach their potential. Plus, they can confidently enter careers, trade school programs or college.

In partnership with Anchorage School District (ASD), we're powering a program to help high school students graduate. Sometimes, life disrupts their attendance. With your support, we can ensure these ASD students have what they need to get Back on Track. Then, they can graduate and pursue opportunities to thrive.

Successful Graduates

Some ASD high school students are a few credits from graduating, but life got in the way. Back on Track helps those who have fallen behind catch up and earn diplomas. In partnership with ASD, we support expanded credit recovery, so more ASD students can succeed.

Flexible Funding

Back on Track responds to ASD students’ needs with flexible funding for food, hygiene, clothing, and essentials like prescription glasses. We celebrate their accomplishments by purchasing caps and gowns, small gift cards, and a cake. Our supports build confidence and help ASD students finish strong.

We're working with Providence Alaska and VOA Alaska to meet Anchorage School District (ASD) K-12 students’ needs beyond academics. Whatever gets in the way of their well-being, we can work together to address. We're here to support the children themselves and their families so that the students can succeed in school.

Mental Health

When students face challenges at home, problems may show up in classrooms. Providence Alaska and VOA Alaska school-based clinicians support ASD students' mental and behavioral health as we create pathways, raise support, and develop opportunities to meet their related needs.

Flexible Funding

We provide flexible funds to Providence Alaska and VOA Alaska school-based clinicians in ASD. They can quickly access these funds to pay for students' food and clothing, cover families' utilities, or secure transportation. Our supports build trust, strengthens well-being, and helps ASD students succeed.
